This text discusses the challenges of emotional labour in precarious jobs. It highlights how workers are expected to suppress their negative emotions in a workplace to maintain positive affects and social relationships. Which normalises tough working conditions under the affective economy.

The design concept highlights how emotional labour is gendered, that women are to be nurturing, empathetic and supportive in their personal relationships and workplace.
